Stag cap badge

The stag is one of the great symbols of the Scottish Highlands. This design celebrates the red deer, Britain's largest surviving native land mammal and the true Monarch of the Glen.

The badge is hand cast in pewter and carefully finished by craftspeople in a Glasgow workshop. Its deep relief stands out beautifully against dark wool and adds a traditional Scottish accent without shouting – the stag can handle the attention.

How to wear it

Traditionally worn on the left side of a Glengarry or Balmoral bonnet, positioned over the rosette.
