Celtic cross kilt pin
A Celtic cross is recognised by the circular “nimbus” surrounding its arms. The motif spread through early medieval Britain, particularly in regions influenced by Celtic Christianity, including Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall and Northumbria.
The openwork body is decorated with Celtic interlace, while the antique-silver finish brings out the raised detail. Each piece is hand cast in quality pewter and carefully finished in a Glasgow workshop.
Attach it only to the front apron. It adds weight to the fabric and symbolism to the outfit – symbolism that has already survived a fair few centuries and still looks rather good.
