SD02H Sgian Dubh
Description
Sgian Dubh - Traditional Scottish Sgian Dubh Heathergems are imaginative Scottish jewellery, made in Pitlochry, Scotland from heather twigs. This makes each piece an original - no promise can be made that it will look like the picture. You can specify the colour of the "stone" when ordering - if we are able to choose, we will follow your wishes.
A modern Sgian Dubh with a heatherwood handle. The blade is unsharpened, the material (420J1 stainless steel, 50-51 HRC hardness) is of sufficient quality to form a blade and sharpen it (ideally by a knife maker).

It is made of high quality stainless steel type 420J1 with a hardness of 50-51 HRC, a material durable enough to form a blade. If you plan to sharpen the blade, it is recommended that you entrust this task to an experienced cutter.
