An alternative to the modern kilt that draws inspiration from historic warehouse style. Modern kilts use a "knife pleat" type of folding, where all the folds face in one direction. Box pleat kilts, on the other hand, follow the 18th century tradition of forming folds in the shape of "boxes". This style can be seen in many paintings from that period.

Thanks to the use of less tartan, this kilt is ideal for the summer months or informal occasions.  We are able to make a custom kilt to your exact measurements, without the length restrictions of leisure kilts.
